About Us
What is the Community Positive project
Community Positive is a division of Engagement EDGE Resources dedicated to championing public servants. We go beyond "feel-good" stories to provide battle-tested strategies for city managers, civic leaders, and volunteers. Our mission is to turn "someone should" into "I will" by spotlighting the real work of community transformation.
Our goal? To change the story about community engagement roles in local government and public service by showcasing the incredible impact happening right in your backyard. We want to inspire you to see what's possible when ordinary people step up to do extraordinary things in their communities.
Who are your featured contributors?
We feature insights from over 200+ frontline public servants, including City Managers, Communication Directors, and Community Development experts, as well as grassroots volunteers.
These aren't just "success stories"—they are case studies from professionals across 30+ states and Canada who are shaping the future of local government.
Each brings their own story, wisdom, and insights about what it really takes to create positive change. Their unique backgrounds prove there's no single path to making a difference.
What resources are available on the Community Positive site?
On the Community Positive site, you'll find our signature "Public Servant's Playbook" for career growth, "Future-Ready Government" case studies for innovation, and the "Grassroots Heroes" section for volunteer retention strategies. We focus on providing actionable insights you can apply immediately in your city or organization. Dive in and discover the tools to make a real impact!
